The New Ombre, Hombre...

I feel like the Ombre trend has been around for years but its still not going anywhere...
But how do you stay on trend without flogging a dead horse?

To keep the Ombre looking fresh its all about choosing new colours and a new method.
I'm over, beautiful, painstaking, sponged on fades. Its time to get graphic, get messy (as the Black eyed peas would say) and get to grips with that paintbrush.

For me AW12 is inspired by oil paintings, thick texture, strong colour & the effects of streaked and dripping paint. I chose two completely contrasting colours and with a really dry brush, streaked them together to get this effect I like to call the New Ombre, Hombre.

Tunnel Vision

A few weeks ago I spent the night in Essex. When I say, spent the night, I mean I literally spent the night. I was awake at 4.00am to drive (be driven) to Essex to work on a music video, where we eventually wrapped the next morning, approximately 21hours later.

I assisted MakeUp Artist Adam de Cruz, alongside Holleigh Gallon on the making up of a killer clowns, a dead soldier & a raving loony with a chain saw.... all in a days work.
The Sugar Hut was in need of a re-vamp...

The Only way is Essex cast before they've applied their fake tan...
